Menu access: Shape | Toolbox | Remove faces

Description:

Allows you to remove faces from a shape. The shape is basified after the removal.

General philosophy:

  1. Choose the healing mode.
  2. Select the faces to remove
  3. Validate with  OK  .

Available option(s):

You can choose a healing mode on the removed faces place:

NONE: let the hole appeared due to the removing of the face.

CAP: try to create a surface to fill up the hole.

EXTEND: try to extend the neighbouring faces until the hole is filled up.

BLEND: same principle as "EXTEND" but this mode is better for the removing of blend or chamfer.

The "BLEND" cicatrisation mode cannot be used to remove chamfer surfaces. It works only for blends surface type.

Specific point(s):

  This feature is non associative. The shape is basified once the faces have been removed.

 By removing a face from a solid object it becomes a surface.
