![]()
General philosophy:
Select the reference face for the pocket to create.
Select the planar contour to use as the base of the pocket operation.
The dialog box that appears allows you to choose the different pockets parameters.

Available option(s):
The button SHELL
HOLE OPERATION allows
to create holes as you can find in shell parts (holes to screw in it,
positioning holes...)
.
The CURVE
IN PLACE can
be used if the curve is on the bottom of the "future pocket".
In this case, the height of the pocket is not asked.
The NEW
CONTOUR button
allows you to directly create a contour to be used as the pocket base
contour.
You can hide or not the curve
by using the Hide
curves= YES or
NO
option.
You can impose a pocket direction
different from the normal to the reference face by selecting the EXTRUSION
DIRECTION button.
The direction must always be defined
from the bottom to the outside of the pocket.
In
the dialog box, the "Through up"
option allows you to define if the pocket goes through the faces above
the reference face.

Specific point(s):
You can select a text as pocket
base contour.
You can select several
curves by using the "selection" icon in order to create different
pockets sharing the same parameters from the same reference face.
When the reference face
is not planar, the curve must be defined "in place".
