Description:
Allows you to modify a shape by applying offset to different faces of the object.
General philosophy:
Select the shape to offset.
Enter the global offset distance.
Select the SAME OFFSET FOR ALL FACES button.
Available option(s):
You can give a different
distance for some faces by giving this distance in the cell "Offset for special faces" then
selecting these faces.
When the distance is too high and
the generated shape can be a self-intersecting shape the compute in exact
mode will abort. In this case you can use the Offset
mode= APPROXIMATE option
to obtain a truncated shape (without self-intersection).
