Extend

Menu access: Shape | Surfacic / boolean operations | Extend

Description:

Allows you to extend a surface using its tangency.

General philosophy:

1. Select the surface to extend.

2. Give the length of the extension.

3. Select the edge on the side to extend.

Available option(s):

The option  Mode = EXACT  or  TANGENT  allows you to choose the way the extension is made.

In the tangent mode, the list allows you to choose the direction of the extending.

Specific point(s):

The selected edge can be closed, but must be a boundary edge of the surface.

In the exact mode, the surface to extend must be a single face and must not be part of an element made of several faces.
