Types of drilling

You can define the type of the drilling in the following dialog box.

 

Select a drilling type to get more informations about it.

A hole + pull facing is a combined operation that will create a drilling made from the drilling face you select and a facing on the opposite face of your solid.

The parameters you can modify for the hole+pull facing are depending on the option you choose from the left list (hole or pull facing):

For the hole:

Blind - the hole is not supposed to go through the complete part and you can enter a drilling depth.

Through one - the hole will go through the first wall of your part.

Through all - the hole will go through the complete part.

Depth - is only accessible when using a blind hole, you enter the drilling depth you want. This depth can be defined to the end of the cylindrical portion of the drilling or to the tip point of the drilling.

Bottom angle - is only accessible when using a blind hole, you enter the bottom angle of your drilling.

Simplified - displays the drilling in a simplified way (only the drilling axis will appear).

Axis - displays the drilling axis.

For the pull facing:

Depth - defines the opposite counterbore depth (pull facing depth).

Diameter - defines the opposite counterbore diameter (pull facing diameter).

Simplified - displays the opposite counterbore in a simplified way (only the counterbore axis will appear).

Axis - displays the opposite counterbore axis.
