Blend - Faces

Description:
Allows you to create a fillet surface between two set of faces.

General philosophy:
Select the surface on the first side and choose its fillet direction (the red arrow indicate the side).
Select the surface on the first side and click OK .
Select the surface on the second side and choose its fillet direction.
Select the surface on the second side and click OK .
In the dialog box appeared set the different options of the blend and validate.
Available option(s):
The option FOLLOW
TANGENT FACES= YES or
NO
allows
you to automatically select all the tangent faces from the selected one.
You can choose the blend type for
the fillet (ball
or disk).
For the ball type fillet,
you can define constraint edges.![]()
You can choose the blend shape for
the fillet (constant radius,
variable radius,
elliptical, parabolical and hyperbolical).
The tab "Blend
parameters" allows to define how the blend ends on its extremities.
In the tab "Trim
parameters", it is possible to trim the two groups of selected
faces on both side of the blend.
In the case the surfaces are trimmed, it is possible to ask for sewing the blend and the surfaces by ticking the option "Sew faces".

Specific point(s):
You can unselect a surface by clicking
a second time on it.
The radius must not be too
big in comparison with the support surfaces (the fillet would extend beyond).
It still can be built if the excesses occur on a tangent edge.
