![]()
In order to ask the software to do what you want, you need to drive it. In order to do so, a solution consists in choosing the appropriate function in the menus.
General use
The menu allows you to choose a function from the ones available :
First click on the menu you want to open,
Then, select the function you want to use.
In some menus you can find sub-menus indicated by an arrow at the end of the line. In order to open the sub-menu, you can click on this arrow or leave your cursor on it and the sub-menu will be open. A sub-menu is used as a classic menu.
Specificities
However, the TopSolid menus have some specificities:
TopSolid is a multi-application software, the display of menus will depend on the active application. Different application will not require the same menus. When you will change of document and if the new document impose a change of application, the menu of the current application will be displayed.
TopSolid has the capability to detach menus like you can do for icons bars. Then you can put them wherever you want. Scissors on top of menus and sub-menus visualizes this possibility.

When you click on the scissors, the corresponding menu is detached and goes on the right of the application window (outside if the application is in window mode and if there is enough room). When a menu is detached you can click on the menu title and drag it to the position you want. You can also integrate it to the application window by positioning it to the side of the software window.
The functions of the "Attribute" and "Analyze" does not stop function of other menu, except the Attribute | Tolerance function. For example, you can run the Edit | Delete function and then run the Attribute | Color function, when you will end this last one you will automatically return to the Edit | Delete function.
In Windows NT4, the icon does not
appear before the function name in the menus.
