Define insulating

Menu access: Piping | Define insulating

Description:

Allows to define insulating for your piping components (pipes, elbows and accessories).

General philosophy:

1. Select your insulating.

2. Give a name to it.

3. Give a designation and a thickness parameter.

Available option(s):

The  EXTRACT  button allows to extract an existing insulating. When you select this button, you just have choose the insulating to extract.

Specific point(s):

The designation will appear in the "dressing of a pipe line" box into the "Insulating" field. You have the possibility to retrieve in this designation the value of a parameter provided that it exists into the catalog of the component. You have to respect the following syntax : ex: Isolating gor pipe, thickness = [t] where t is the name of the parameter.

By default, in a pipe line, a component is inserted without its insulating. To insert it, edit the pipe line in the construction tree and use the "Add insulating" control of the contextual menu of the component (use the multiple selection in the construction tree to add insulating to several components) .

Insulating are grouped into the symbols set. You can edit it in the construction tree. For that, open the construction tree, choose Edit in the contextual menu and select "SET PIPING INSULATING" (it will be not available if no insulating have been defined).
