Positions
Menu access : Kinematics | Positions
Description :
Allows you to visualize the different positions of an element linked to a mobile element.
![]()
General philosophy:
Select the mobile element to consider.
Select the original element to visualize in different positions.
Available option(s):
By default we visualize the animation
when computing the element trajectory. It's possible to disable the simulation
by choosing the NO option in the Display animation question.
By default, 10 positions are created.
It's possible to change this value in the Number of positions field.
Specific point(s):
It is possible to interrupt animation
using the Escape key.
The positions are linearly computed
on the scenario duration.
By using this function with a coordinate
system as original element, you can analyze the positions and orientations
of a mobile part during the movement.
By using this function with a shape
as the original element, and by computing a union between the created
shapes, you get a good approximation of volume used by the movement of
the part.
