Pivot joint

 

Description :

Allows you to create a pivot joint between two elements.

We call pivot joint every joint of which the degree of freedom is one rotation.

General philosophy:

  1. Select the PIVOT button.

  2. Select the base element.

  3. Select the linked element.

  4. Indicate the pivot axis (oriented).

  5. Enter the joint name or select the ANONYMOUS button.

Specific point(s):

1 degree of freedom : 1° rotation around the pivot axis.

The driven joint(s) must be the only ones named before the creation of the scenario. They will be the only ones to appear on the scenario. You can give a name to the other joints in the symbolic tree .
