Regenerate

Menu access : File | Regenerate

Description :

Forces the re-computation of all elements of the current document or all the opened documents.

General philosophy :

You have the choice to regenerate :  

• the current document with the option THIS DOCUMENT.

• all the opened documents and all the documents referenced by the opened documents with the ALL DOCUMENTS options.

• the visualisation of all the opened documents and all the documents referenced by the opened documents with the ALL VISUALISATIONS options.

Available option(s) :

The Check geometry of shapes = YES option to check the integrity of the topology of each part, this is the same function than Shape | Manage | Check geometry. The time to regenerate the document can increase a lot but this option can be very useful when the computation of a view fails, it allows to quickly get the identifier of the shape which create the error.

When your document contain assembly context elements, TopSolid display the ASSEMBLY CONTEXT option allowing to update one or all of them (see Assembly context for more details).

Specific point(s) :

The regeneration results (error messages, end of regeneration) are displayed in the alpha bar at the bottom of the screen.

Using or , you can get the file back in its initial form.
