Projection parameters rubric
![]()
Tolerances :
The default values gives you a good
compromise between quality and rapidity, you can also reduce them when
some line are missing or when some curves are not well smoothed.
Automatic update of view :
When this option is ticked all the views are re-computed after
minor or major modification of the model. This option is not ticked by
default, you have to use the
function to re-compute one or all the view of your drawing
(the views to update are displayed with a red cross).
Views create 2d curves :
When you tick this option, the TopSolid
release 6.2 projection mode is used, in this mode each projected element
is a 2d element. Then, the projection time is more important but the selection
by criteria in a view is possible. This option is only available before
creating the first view (changed to grey after creating the first view).
Keep layer of projected elements :
Tick this option to project element
using the layer of the template document. This option is only available
when the "Views
create 2d curves" has been ticked.
Rebuild projected B-splines :
Tick this option to convert B-spline
from 3D shape in contour made of line and arc when the document is projected.
In this case you can have a small difference between projected contours
and 3D curves. This option can increase the projection and view regeneration
time.
Threading with high quality :
Tick this option to get an exact
projection of screw/nut assemblies. This option can increase the projection
time.
|
Option unticked : Red solid lines should be displayed as stipple line. |
Option unticked : The hatching pattern appears on the screw . |
|
|
|
|
Option ticked : The line are displayed correctly. |
Option ticked : The hatching pattern stops on the screw. |
|
|
|
Coordinate systems keep axis orientation :
When a coordinate system is projected
in a view, this option allows to keep the orientation defined in the 3D
model document..
|
In this example, the pocket coordinate system (in red) has been inserted in the projected view : |
|
|
|
|
|
Option unticked : The pocket coordinate system orientation is not kept. |
Option ticked : The pocket coordinate system orientation is kept. |
Use realistic rendering :
This option allows to apply a realistic
rendering (with textures) on the view projected with shading.
Make one area by cross section face :
Tick this option to get only one
hatching area when a face is divided in several parts.
|
|
|
|
Option unticked : Two independent hatching area are created. |
Option ticked : Only one hatching area is created. |
Compute hidden lines of overlapping bodies :
Tick this option if you have some
missing lines in a projected assembly that contains part in intersection.
Dynamic projection mode :
This option allows you to see dynamically
elements before putting the view in your drawing or when you move a view.
If you untick this option TopSolid/Draft will display a rectangle enclosing
all elements. (this fastest mode is the default mode).
