Migrate
menu Access : File | Migrate
Description :
Allows to convert a whole tree structure of TopSolid documents of previous version (TopSolid 2001, TopSolid 6.3...) to the format TopSolid 2005.
General philosophy :
Choose the directory to convert.
Set the file type to convert.
Locate the destination directory (preferably different from the directory to convert).
Start the conversion by clicking the Migrate button.
Check the possible errors using the journal displayed at the end of conversion
Available option(s) :
The Journal
button
allows to re-display the conversion journal, this one contains the name
of the processed files and the possible errors. When an assembly document
is processed, each referenced document are converted too.
Specific point(s) :
This function can be very useful
to save all the document in the TopSolid 2005 file format in order to
display them with TopSolid/Viewer.
This function does not convert standard
components (TopSolid, TopMold, ... and user components).
When an assembly reference a document
which is not in the tree structure to convert, the referenced document
is not converted and an error is recorded in the journal of conversion.
