Add spring
Menu access: Dynamics | Add spring
Description:
Allows to add a force that simulate a spring between two components.
General philosophy:
Select the first element linked with the spring.
Select the first hooking point.
Select the second element linked with the spring.
Select the second hooking point.
Set the free length and the stiffness of the spring and validate.
Specific point(s):
According to the free length you
set, you can have a traction or compression spring.
The spring can be edited in the symbolic
tree. It is contained in "FORCES SET".
You can activate or deactivate the
spring. To do this, right click on the corresponding line in the symbolic
tree.
Available modification(s):
You can modify
the free length and the stiffness of the spring by using the "modify"
function on the spring that represent the force. You can also do this
through the symbolic tree.
It is possible to change
the color of the arrows that represent the forces and speeds in
the menu "Tools | Options".
