Add exterior action

Menu access: Dynamics | Add exterior action

Description:

Allows you to add an external action (which is not generated by a part of the mechanism). This external action can be a force and/or torque type according to a given direction/axis.

General philosophy:

1. Set la direction/axis of the external action.

2. Select the components that undergo this action and validate with  OK  .

3. Give the force and/or torque value according to the direction/axis.

Specific point(s):

The external action is applied on the inertia center of the component.

The external action can be edited in the symbolic tree. It is contained in "FORCES SET".

You can activate or deactivate an external action. To do this, right click on the corresponding line in the symbolic tree.

Available modification(s):

You can modify the force and torque value by using the "modify" function on the arrows that represent the action. You can also do this through the symbolic tree.

It is possible to change the color of the arrows that represent the forces and speeds in the menu "Tools | Options".
