General presentation
Translators allow you to exchange information between different CAD or CAD/CAM systems. Data import allows TopSolid to read files originating from other software. Data export allows TopSolid to send files to other software packages.

File import under TopSolid V6.8
Menu access : File | Open
Quick access : Drag and drop a file from a Microsoft Explorer windows to a TopSolid windows, the file will be open in the TopSolid preferred application (TopSolid/Design, TopSolid/Draft, TopSolid/Mold,...).
The File | Open function allows you to open TopSolid based application files, but also files in the different translator formats. Use the file type combo from the file opening dialog box to choose your file format.
