General philosophy:
Exclude entities one by one:
Simply select all the entities you want to exclude then confirm you selection.
Example:
On the following part, the hole + tapping operation has been propagated using a linear propagation with 4 instances :

Run

You will obtain the following part : |
|
Exclude entities by using a closed exclusion curve:
Click on the button BY CLOSED CURVES .
Select the curve to use and choose the side of the curve for the exclusion.
Select the reference point in comparison with the original entity of the repetition (or propagation).
Example:
Exclusion from a matrix repetition by a closed curve:

The exclusion curve and the original element.

|
|
Before the exclusion. |
After the exclusion. |
The reference point is in red.
All the entities of which the reference point is outside the curves have been excluded.
Specific point(s):
The reference point is used
to fix, for each entity, if it must be exclude or not. It is important
for the entities that are astride the curve.
To avoid cyclic reference,
the reference point mustn't get links with the original operation or element.
If you modify the propagation
(with excluded instance), TopSolid will proposed the RESTORE
INSTANCE option
allowing you to display instances previously excluded.
