Add constraints

Menu access : Assembly | Add constraints

Description :

Allows to add one or several positioning constraints to a component.

General philosophy:

  1. Select the component on which you want to add one or several positioning constraints.

  2. Select the origin geometry then the destination  geometry.

Cone / Plane

Cone / Cone

Sphere / Cone

Cylinder / Cylinder

Cone / Cylinder

Sphere / Cylinder

Sphere / Plan

Sphere / Sphere

Edge / Edge

...

Available option(s):

The REDEFINE CONSTRAINTS button allows to delete all the positioning constraints of a component to create new ones.

The AUTO type is the default mode : intuitive and Dynamic. By clicking this button, you can change the positioning mode in order to decrease the processing time indeed, in the case calculation is too long for a complex component, processing will be done every time you add a positioning constraint (intuitive and magnetic positioning). The other mode accessible through this button asks for all the constraints once for all and then calculates the component and its position. In this mode, the user-friendliness is poorer but processing time is optimum.

The magnetization mode =  YES allows to preview the component position before clicking the destination geometry.
