Open the document
presenting the finished part.
Open a new document
(the machining document itself).
Select the machine.
The machine
must be equipped with the necessary parts for the positioning operation
(table, vice, chuck, stops, etc.). If
these elements are not present on the machine, they can be added later.
However,
they must be added before positioning.
Select the menu
"Part
| Part clamping | Vise" or click on the 
. icon.
Select entities
(solids, profiles,surfaces) to be positioned.
Select in the
first file a planar face which will be in contact with the parallel.
Select in the
vise, the planar face which defines the parallel.
Select in the
first file a planar face which will be in contact with the jaw.
Select in the
vise, the planar face which defines the jaw.
If the user stops
here, the part will
be in the middle of the vise.
If the user wants
to align the part not in the middle, select in the origin file the planar
face to align.
Select in the
vise the planar face to use for the alignment.
The select entities
(solids, profiles,surfaces) are copied in the new document in the vise.
