General procedure:
Choose the calculation method you want to use.
Select the sheet metal to transform.
This function can be used only on
a sheet metal or on a sheet metal converted shape.

Available option(s):
There are two methods for
calculating the surface from the dropdown menu below:
![]()
The median surface calculation requires a sheet metal part
with faces of the opposite sides that match perfectly. You are sent an
error message to inform you of the problem if the calculation fails: Cannot
associate all the faces of a side of the sheet metal with the faces of
the opposite side (no exact match).
The parallel surface method calculates the median surface between the two skins of the sheet metal.
Hide the sheet metal = YES hides or shows the sheet metal after the median
surface has been calculated.
OFFSET
THE MEDIAN SURFACE calculates
one of the sides of the sheet metal.
Give the offset value and select a reference face for the sheet metal:
-1 corresponds to the side of the face selected.
0 corresponds to the median surface.
1 corresponds to the opposite side of the face selected.
