Description:

This set of functions allows you to create your own standard components, intelligent components, in the TopSolid'Progress standard format.

They can be accessed from a TopSolid'Design document.

General procedure:

  1. Define the geometry of the component.

  2. Next, define the part and set. You can use a dictionary to determine the designations and other data

  3. Saving the file. The image created when you save appears in the component's positioning dialog box: To avoid modifying this image each time you save it, rename it MyCompo.png (instead of MyCompo.top.png)

  4. Define the parameters and drivers.

  5. Define the positioning drivers. They will be added to the component's drivers.

  6. Define the key point(s).

  7. Define special positioning csys if necessary.

  8. Define the "do not cut property" on the component.

  9. Create the catalog .

  10. To define the constraints, you must first determine what needs to be measured in the part environment with the measures function.

  11. Next, determine the constraints linked to the measurements.

  12. To define the process: Determine the set of faces used to evaluate collisions

  13. Next, define the drill processes associated with the various sets of faces.

  14. You can define additional properties for the components.

Particular remark(s):

This function is available only in a TopSolid'Design document:
