Flat Internal When a surface is in the internal side of the part. |
Flat external When a surface is in the external side of the part |
Extenal
In this case you will have to define the orientation of the surface plane. To do this select a plane on the screen or use the predefined planes XY, YZ, XZ (in reference to the current coordinate system).
Enter the length of the flat surface.
Select the first curve of the parting line.
You have the possibility of selecting ALL CURVES to create a peripheral surface.

The surface does not have to be at the same altitude
than the reference plane.
In case that you would like to do only a portion of flat surface, select a second curve on the parting line.
Enter then the limiting points defining the borders of the flat surface.

If the lines of the parting line do not define a flat
surface, the system will is not going to create it, avoiding to produce
"holes" between the surfaces and parting line.
Internal
Select one or many curves defining the future surface.
The system will automatically create the flat surface.
If the lines of the parting line do not define a flat
surface, the system will is not going to create it, avoiding to produce
"holes" between the surfaces and parting line.
