Edge selection
With this option you can select part edges. Options are:
Available options:
If you want that you parting line passes by a zone where there are not edges, these should be created.
To do that:
Select an existing curve
Build up a CONTOUR TopSolid'Design.
Draw a 2 POINTS LINE.
Imprint SILHOUETTE CURVES on specific faces of the part (compute instead of the mold axis).
Once you have drawn the entity you have to choose a direction and the faces where you want the curve to be imprinted. If you OK without making a previous selection of faces the entity will be imprinted on ALL the part faces following the chosen direction.
When the imprint operation is finished you can select the created edges to build up the parting surface.
AUTO PATH
You select an edge. The software allows you to continue automatically the edge path.
If you continue a previously designed
parting line, you MUST select CONTINUE A PARTING LINE.
Otherwise, the software will consider these 2 elements as 2 different
parting lines.
You just have to pick an edge, and TopSolid'Mold will try to compute the most interesting path.
The possible path are computed with different mode :
When the software does not succeed in the automatic computation, it stops. You can:
Pick the next edge.
"Scroll" the edge proposition, and select the edge that indicates to you the future path.
In AUTO PATH mode, you can
also IMPRINT an edge. ![]()
Select an edge
To automatically detect the part edges path:
Have the option Edges path curve = YES
Select 2 edges. The system will try to calculate the corresponding shortest way considering that a tangential continuity must exist in between the 2 of them.
