Configuration options

Description:

Allows to manage the by default configuration in the application.

The configuration data for the clearances is in the file mld.cfg created in the program's configuration folder.

All the commands applicable to the program are in the file :

Missler\v67\local\"your_language"\mld_ex.cfg

Preliminary mode application colors

Menu access: Tools | Options | General | Preliminary mode application colors

Description:

Allows to manage the background color in preliminary mode design.

General procedure:

Allows you to set the background color of the preliminary mode design.

The TopSolid'Mold background color changes to let you know that you are using the Preliminary mode.

Description:

Allows to manage the general options of the program.

General procedure:

Mold component - Clearance

Icon access: -

Menu access: Tools | Options | Mold component

Description:

Allows to manage the clearances by default for all the components.

General procedure:

Choose in a standard the component that you want to control. Check if the rule that is going to be defined is applicable to ALL of the standards, no matter the reference.
Select on the list, the parameter driver.
Define its initial and final conditions, managing the conditions' operators.
Manage the clearance value.
Add.

Available options:

Several value ranges can be managed in order to cover all the available dimensions for the component.

If it does not exist, the default value will be applied.

These floating values for the clearances will be saved in the file mldsub.dat created in the program's configuration folder.

If you edit that file, pay attention to the units because they are all expressed in meters in the document.

If one of the configuration settings has not been expressed correctly (wrongly managing the condition of the operators or value ranges, ...), ALL of the parameters for that component will be affected not only the one related to that particular value.

Mold component - Machining

Icon access: -

Menu access: Tools | Options | Mold component

Description:

Allows to associate a TopSolid'Cam process to a component TopSolid'Mold.

General procedure:

Define in TopSolid'Cam a process that you want to apply to a Mold component.

See the TopSolid'Cam manual for the creation of this process.

In TopSolid'Mold, if there is not a previous equally named process, enter it.
Select in the list of components the one to edit.
Choose the TopSolid'Cam process to associate to the component.
Validate this process for this component by clicking <==.
OK.

Available modifications:

Once the component is inserted, use the function Modify element to modify the type of process related to the component. Select the process and then its Machining process.

Particular remarks:

The machining process is a CAM label that is attached to the component to call in TopSolid'Cam a specific process. The definition of the process is contained in TopSolid'Cam.
