Menu access: Management | Affectation
Description:
Allows to ear mark a solid as a slider, an insert or core/cavity blocks with all the inherent characteristics of such a component (stroke, mold component to position the locking block, etc..).
General procedure:
Choose the solid defining the slider , insert, or the core/cavity blocks.
The system needs a reference to define the stroke direction of the slider. Select it from the screen.
QUIT to validate your affectation.

Menu access: Management | Store
Description:
Allows to store the mold elements in another TopSolid'Mold file which will retain a link with the original document.
General procedure:
Choose the positioning mode : DIRECT POSITIONING or MANUAL POSITIONING.
Select the type of operation to deactivate :
Select the part to insert.
Special remarks:
It is possible to store the clustered
elements.
Icon access: -
Menu access: Management | Constraints ![]()
Description:
Allows to manage the components constraints after their positioning.
General procedure:
Choose the type of operation to be applied on the constraints.
Once done, QUIT.

Menu access Management | Kinematics
Description:
Helps you to manage the specific kinematics of the mold:
Icon access: -
Menu access: Management | Constraint mode
Description:
TopSolid'Mold has to conception modes for the insertion of standard components. In the mode called constraint the components are recalculated when the elements on which they are referenced are modified, the positioning of the component and its dimensions are recalculated. The mode no constraint limits the updating to the positioning of the component.
General procedure:
By default, the mode constraint is active. Just click on to deactivate it.
Available options:
After the positioning of the component
you can manage its constraints.

Menu access: Management | Auto process mode
Description:
A mold project can contain custom created and standard components.
The processes are actions associated to the mold components. All the library components that are contained in the program have, by default, an associated process. At the time of their insertion, the standard components (screws, leader pins, ...) make automatically the "operations" of drilling, tapping, counterboring that are associated with them. The processes for custom created components on the affected neighboring elements of the assembly must be applied by the user having in consideration the principles of mold manufacturing.
General procedure:
By default the mode of automatic process is active. Click on to deactivate it.
Special remarks:
To speed the program operation, when
a large number or components are being inserted (ejection system, by example),
this mode could be deactivated. Afterwards it would be necessary to manage the processes attached to these
components.
Available options:
After a component has been inserted
its process can be deleted.

Menu access: Management | Drive undo mode
Description:
Allows to not keep in memory all the intermediate computations, then to avoid the memory consumption problem.
By activating this mode, you will not be able
to use the undo
for
the next functions.
General procedure:
Pick the line to activate this mode.
Specific point(s):
This mode works on ly for the following
functions:
In this case, a button Allow
to undo = YES will appear :
YES
allows you to manage the undo, so you will be able to apply UNDO
one the function will be finished.
NO
allows you to cancel the UNDO
management.
In this case,
we strongly recommend you to save your file before the use of this UNDO
management.
The activation of this mode does
not signify a lost of associativity. Only the undo
will become not possible.

Menu access: Management | Preliminary mode
Description:
Allows you to start a design and to do not totally care about the design of the part to inject. You design your mold in the usual way, except for the "ghost core/cavity blocks" that are not trimmed.
General procedure:
Specific point(s):
Once exit of this mode, you will
trim your "ghost blocks".
It will create a trimming operations on these blocks. You will be able
to insert operations under this trimming
operation.
Part
replacement is available in this mode, because the parting elements
are not created at this step.
The use of this strategy
can let you avoid the size increase of your file.
