The three kind of 3D measurement
Create a measure of a cloud of points on the part to control.
The points are distributed according to a grid.
The faces to be measured have to belong to the part to control.
Having selected the axis of the Grid, 3 solutions are offered:
All the part
In that case the Grid of points is applied to all the part. The main direction of measure will be the axis of the grid.
Points
Select
in that case all the points (which are already created!). The axis of
the grid is not used in that case. The points must be situated on the
part It's
possible to select them with the 
icon. Example
Pick two points
From two selected points and from the axis of gird, a window is created. The grid of points will be applied to this window. Example
Select the menu
"Measurement | 3D" or click on the icon.
Click on the GRID button.
Define the gird axis with the X+,X-,Y+,Y-,Z+,Z- of the current coordinate system or with a picking off an existing entity.
Make a choice between the 3 kind of grid : All the part , Points , or Begin point (click)/Finish point (click)
A dialog box appears. Modify some parameters if necessary and confirm.
