Points on curve

Create on a curve (consisted of segments, arcs, splines,) several points.
These points are created according to a given distance, or following a number of points.
Every point of the curve can be measured with the function "Measurement | Points"

During the definition of the number of points, a visualization is made. All the points are shown and in every point, an arrow is drawn.
The green arrow indicates the first point of the curve
The magenta arrow indicates the last point of the curve.
Case of the closed curve:
With the Number method :
The real step = Length of the curve / Number of points.
With the Step method :
The number of created points = Upper Round of (Length of the curve / inputted Step). Then the real step is updated.
Case of the open curve:
With the Number method :
The real step = Length of the curve / (Number of points - 1)
With the Step method :
The number of created points = Lower Round of ((Length of the curve / inputted Step) + 1). Then the real step is updated.
Select the menu "Geometry | Points on curve".
Click one or several curves.
A dialog box and a visualization of the result appear. Modify some parameters if necessary and confirm to have the points.
