Minimum material principle

The conditions of the minimum material are used when a condition of minimal thickness on a wall is functionally necessary.

The symbol    means that value indicated for the geometrical tolerance must be respected when the element is in its minimal state of material. This value can be exceeded by a certain value according to the real state of the element.

The diagram below shows relation between the real diameter of the element and the value of the location deviation.
