Purpose
Calculates the Work coordinate system necessary for part creation, by analyzing all flat sides and all hollow cylindrical sides.
Only machinable sides, relative to a pre-selected machine tool, contain Work coordinate system.

Select the menu ‘Work coordinate system / Create / Automatic'
If there is more than one part, select the part for which Work coordinate system calculation must be performed.
Notes
TopSolid'Cam creates Work coordinate system, taking the current machine into account.
As a rule, Work coordinate system are set in the middle of each side.
A single Work coordinate system will be created, if several different sides can be created from it. Thus, a side drilled to contain one or several holes has a single positioning.
The positioning’s origin point can subsequently be moved, using the “origin point” function, found on the positioning’s editing option’s second tab. The positioning origin must be found on the plate’s rotation axis for certain machine configurations. Therefore, the origin must be manually transferred on the plate’s axis.
In automatic mode, all flat and cylindrical sides are machined, including the sides that must not be machined. If too many unnecessary Work coordinate system are created through the automatic mode, use the “Manual Creation” mode, even if the Work coordinate system can be individually cancelled.
After automatic creation, each Work coordinate system can be edited manually.
Machining coordinates are defined from the Work coordinate system origin, unless otherwise specified.
