Chip-breaker method

Three kind of chip-breaker are available :

None

No chip-breaker is used.

Dwell

The tool path is cut to insert for every cut a dwell.

• The distance between every cut is given by the user in the question "pass length".

• The dwell value is given by the user in the question "Delay".

The lead in and lead out movements are not taken into account.

Retraction

The tool path is cut to insert for every cut a retract.

• The distance between every cut is given by the user in the question "pass length".

• The retract value is given by the user in the question "Retract distance".

• The retract is made in the inverse direction of the machining direction.

• The retract is done with the tool feed rate.

The lead in and lead out movements are not taken into account.
