Thread cycle method
The penetration of the tool in the threading can be done in 2 distinct modes :
Along the threading flank
Perpendicularly to the main direction of the threading.
The cut depth can vary, so as to respect a constant chip section, or constant depth (and in this case, it’s the chip section that varies).

The depth of each cut is calculated so that the tool removes always the same volume of material. The tool plunges along the thread flank, respecting the thread angle, so that only the opposite cutting edge works.
