Roughing : Levelling type

At the end of each cycle, the rough cycle leaves peaks, which can be removed during this roughing cycle and not with the finishing tool.

3 levelling type are available :

At the end of roughing operation

The levelling pass takes place once all the rough cuts have been completed. Another pass is added to the roughing cycle.

At end of each pass

The levelling pass takes places at the end of each cut, the tool moves back up the length of the profile in order to reach its previous cut position.

None

No levelling pass.

At the end of each pass if necessary

The levelling pass takes places at the end of the cut, the tool moves back up the length of the profile in order to reach its previous cut position. This movement is done ONLY if according a minimum angle (see below) the tool doesn't remove all the material during the cut (samples)

 

 

 

Lead in / Lead out

This value is useful ONLY for  the "At the end of roughing operation" levelling type.

Levelling lead in distance

Lead in distance for the levelling pass .

This value is useful ONLY for  the "At the end of roughing operation" levelling type.

Levelling lead in angle

Lead in angle for the levelling pass .

This value is useful ONLY for  the "At the end of roughing operation" levelling type.

Levelling lead out distance

Lead out distance for the levelling pass .

This value is useful ONLY for  the "At the end of roughing operation" levelling type.

Levelling lead out angle

Lead in angle for the levelling pass .

This value is useful ONLY for  the "At the end of roughing operation" levelling type.

 

Lead in  clearance distance

Each cut is extended, over and above the stock, by  a value equivalent to the security distance. The user can thus change this value if he finds it insufficient. This parameter is NOT used by the levelling pass.

Lead out clearance distance

Each cut is extended, over and above the stock, by  a value equivalent to the security distance. The user can thus change this value if he finds it insufficient. This parameter is NOT used by the levelling pass.

Lead out distance

Here the user can also change the lead out distance.

Lead out angle

Here the user can also change the lead out angle.

Minimum angle

This value is used to limit the levelling pass.

If VA + Minimum angle >= Angle of the part the levelling pass is NOT done (samples)
