Realize one or several radial groove (s) or make a radial facing on a turning part, with a rotative tool.
The movement of the part is made by rotation of the chuck or part holder (C axis ONLY, not Y) and the movement of the tool is according to the axis Z.

The user has simply to select the segment which defines the groove. This segment with the axis Z have to be able to form a plan (same plane).
The Y coordinate of the starting point the segment and the Y coordinate of the ending point of the segment must be identical.
The segment can be defined to X=0. The following drawing gives some samples ( The allowed segments are in blue).

The tool path is done in a constant X.
Activate the default Wcs of the part or a Wcs with a Z along the Z of the machine and the X along the X of the machine
Select the curve to machine (the segment!).
A red arrow indicates the direction of the first pass, it is possible to invert it.
Select the tool to use. The axis of this tool MUST be colinear to the X axis of the machine
Input or define
graphically the angular position of the first groove.![]()
To define the
final X value of the groove, it's possible to input the value or to select
the bottom face. In the last case, the selected face MUST intersect the
previous angular position.![]()
It's possible to propagate the operation (more than one groove.
