Make an axial pocketing using a rotative tool.
The positioning of the part and the machining is done with the C axis (Spindle) and NOT with the Y axis even if the machine tool has one.

The pocketing cycle deals with faces having simple and complex contours. The presence of islands or corners with a radius smaller than the tool’s radius does not alter the computation. On the contrary, TopSolid'Cam in this case will generate leftover material that will be detected in later machining operations.
When setting the parameters in the dialog, the machined area can be displayed with an interactive X hatched area.
A pocketing operation will create descent within the material! All strategies are available, depending on the user’s preference. In the case of a vertical descent in a pocket, at a rapid or work feed, the user can select the descent point or accept the default point suggested by TopSolid'Cam.
Activate the part Wcs (turning Wcs) , if it's not done.
Select the face from the part to machine.
Select the tool to use for the operation.
Specify the different parameters in the tab dialogue box which appears.
Enter the comment which appears on the machine block listing meant for the NC operator. This comment will also appear when the user wishes to take a look at or modify an operation, using the Operation/ Operations manager function.
Eventually, enter a codified remark which will be interpreted by the post-processor, in a specific manner predefined by the user and the post-processor redactor.
Validate entries made into the dialogue box by clicking on OK.
The user can eventually click on the ‘Info’ button in order to know the geometrical characteristics of the face to machine (Area, minimum radius, total height, etc..).
