Active / Inactive

This function allows the user to indicate whether a set of pre selected operations is to be made active or not.  An inactive operation does not update the stock model, is not post-processed and does not have corresponding ISO blocks.

When the same program is to process a prototype part’s machining, a part from an average range or a part with a series no., stock models supplied for these 3 cases are bound to be totally different.  Rough machining is necessary if the prototype parts are carved from a block.  If the parts with a series no. are machined from foundry blocks, rough machining is not necessary.  In such a case, making rough machining operations inactive is advisable.

In the sorting out operations tree, inactive operations are displayed in semi-shaded mode.
