Operation modifiers

Purpose

Influences an already calculated tool path to optimize it, for example, by introducing various feed rates: this is done by provoking actions during points’ passage, etc.

How to use

1. Select the function ‘Operation / Operation modifiers’.

2. Specify the operation to be optimized via its tool path.

A dialogue box containing the list of modifiers used on the tool path appears.  The list is empty for the first optimization operation.  The example below shows a tool path with a modifier of the technological point type.

The icons found on the dialogue box’s side allow the user to create, delete or modify the modifiers.

New

Create a new modifier.

The following dialog box appears:

Select the modifier you want to use.

For more ample explanations on every modifier, to click the text in the list below:

• Decrease feed rate in angles.

• Technological points.

• Feed rate modification with removing material.

• tool path element deletion.

Delete

Delete a modifier.

Modify

Modify a modifier. The edit function are the same as the create ones.
