Purpose
Detects potential collisions during machining operations by taking into account relative feed rates for various mobile elements. Therefore, this is a relatively useful control for a 4 or 5 axes or a bi-turret machine. Control is carried out on the tool, the finished part and its work environment (table, vise, bridles, machine elements, …).
Understanding the function
The main differences between the ‘Collision’ and “Dynamic Collision” functions relate to simulation function. Dynamic collision simulates the whole machine’s running mode to stay as close as possible to the actual running mode. Simulation controls the most complex cases, such as simultaneous machining with two turrets.
How to use
From the menu
Select the menu ‘Operations / Dynamic Collision / Control’.
Click the operations to control.
From the operations manager
Select the operations to control in the operations manager list.
Click on the right button of the mouse.
Select the contextual menu 'Dynamic Collision'.
When the operator asks TopSolid'Cam to control, this last one takes into account parameters of configuration define in the 'Dynamic Collision' tab of the dialog box 'Operations managers'.
