Lead in direction

This parameter defines the mode to be used for lead in moves, in rapid feed rate, on the area on which the contouring operation is to be applied.

Different options available are:

XY - Z

The tool moves in rapid feed rate, in XY, until the descending point is reached.  The tool then moves down until it reaches a work altitude.

Z - XY

The tool moves down until it reaches a work altitude, then moves in XY until the machining’s starting point is reached.

XYZ

The tool moves according to the three axes simultaneously.
