Retract

This function is used to define the strategy needed for linking moves, carried out in rapid feed rate and between 2 machining sections.

If necessary

Tick this checkbox if TopSolid'Cam must perform disengagement remount moves only when necessary (part collision). In this case, the operator can define a remount altitude or choose an optimisation operation.

Optimized retract

If ‘if necessary’ is activated, the clearance plane will be calculated to obtain tool passage over the part and its stock model, more or less using the tool’s security distance.

Clearance plane

This field defines the disengagement altitude which will be used for all the tool moves needed to avoid collision with the part or the stock model. If the ‘Optimized’ checkbox is ticked, this field is deactivated.
