Left material operation

This function allows to localize left material areas, with regard to a theoretical tool which would have manufactured the part (TopSolid'Cam calculates first the finishing with the reference tool!).So it's possible to launch this machining even if it's the first machining!
This operation makes a comparison of the left material areas from the tool given as reference. These zones are manufactured in a automatic way by applying a constant scallop height machining and making the difference between horizontal and vertical areas.
The user has to input the 'Tool diameter' and 'Tool corner radius' corresponding to the dimensions of the tool used (for the TopSolid'Cam calculation) for the finish of the part. According , to this finish calculation, TopSolid'Cam generates the left material areas making the difference between the horizontal and vertical areas.
This function imagines left material
according to the parameters of the tool of reference, contrary to the
function Material
left removal which knows exactly where are the left material areas.
Select the menu
"Milling | 3D operation | Left material operation" or click
on the icon.
If there are several parts, select the part to be machined.
Select the tool (or change tool) which can be used for the machining operation.
Specify the different parameters in the tab dialogue box which appears.
Enter the comment which appears on the machine block listing meant for the NC operator. This comment will also appear when the user wishes to take a look at or modify an operation, using the Operation/ Operations Manager function.
Eventually, enter a codified remark which will be interpreted by the post-processor, in a specific manner predefined by the user and the post-processor redactor.
Validate entries made into the dialogue box by clicking on OK
