Spiral machining

This option is available only when the support curve is a point or a closed profile.

Spiral machining : Nothing is done.

Spiral machining : TopSolid'Cam make the tool path following a spiral. Then the tool path is optimized between two passes to minimize (try to remove) the rapid movements. As it's a spiral, to be sure to remove all the material it's possible to add a first and final passes in a "constant z". 4 solutions are available:

Not close

Only the spiral machining is done.

Close at the beginning

One radial pass ("constant z") is done BEFORE the spiral machining (to be sure to NOT take too much material ...).

Close at the end

The spiral machining is done and then one radial pass ("constant z") is done (to be sure to remove ALL the material)

Close at beginning and end

One radial pass ("constant z") is done BEFORE the spiral machining (to be sure to NOT take too much material ...) and another one is added at the end (to be sure to remove ALL the material)
