Specific for the finish of parts, this type of operation consists in realizing in an automatic way the machining of all the part.
Here, TopSolid'Cam mix two kind of machining.
For the horizontal surfaces, the best automatic machining is the parallel plane or the constant scallop height.
For the vertical surfaces, the best automatic machining is the Z level.
So, here, according to an angle, TopSolid'Cam is going to mix in automatic mode this two kind of machining.
The sample below gives a sample with a Z level machining in blue and a parallel plane machining in cyan.

According to the required angle,TopSolid'Cam mix in automatic mode:
Z level and parallel planes
Z level and constant scallop height
Available tools
If the super finishing is done by angular separation, Only ball nose mill are allowed
If the super finishing is done by Z level rest machining,
Ball nose and radiused mill are allowed if the cutting method is not Z level and parallel planes
Ball nose, radiused and slot mill are allowed if the cutting method is Z level and parallel planes
Select the menu
"Milling
| 3D operation | Super finishing" or click on the
icon.
If there are several parts, select the part to be machined.
Select the tool (or change tool) which can be used for the machining operation.
Specify the different parameters in the tab dialogue box which appears.
Enter the comment which appears on the machine block listing meant for the NC operator. This comment will also appear when the user wishes to take a look at or modify an operation, using the Operation/ Operations Manager function.
Eventually, enter a codified remark which will be interpreted by the post-processor, in a specific manner predefined by the user and the post-processor redactor.
