tool path Optimization
The user can choose the tool path’s optimization mode. Optimization is defined as a search for the shortest possible tool path generated in rapid feed rate, according to the following criteria:
Shortest tool path
tool path is calculated to obtain the lowest possible sum for the length of moves carried out in rapid feed rate.
XY zigzag
tool path is calculated to favor moves in Y, then moves in X. In such cases, TopSolid'Cam works in X constant (if this mode can be applied to the part). Optimization path constantly performs lead in and lead out moves.
YX zigzag
tool path is calculated to favor moves in X, then moves in Y. In such cases, TopSolid'Cam works in Y constant (if this mode can be applied to the part). Optimization path only performs lead in moves.
XY one way
tool path is calculated to favor moves in Y, then moves in X. In such cases, TopSolid'Cam works in X constant (if this mode can be applied to the part). Optimization path only performs lead in moves.
YX one way
tool path is calculated to favor moves in X, then moves in Y. In such cases, TopSolid'Cam works in Y constant (if this mode can be applied to the part). Optimization path only performs lead in moves.
