Purpose

TopSolid'Cam analyzes all hollow cylinders and sections of hollow cylinders for this machining mode.  The results are then listed in a dialogue box so that the user can allocate a particular machining strategy to each of them.

This function is useful during for the imported files (no features!).

Understanding the function

TopSolid'Cam realizes a topological analyze of the part to determine the full cylinders to machine (holes) and also the partial cylinders (if the user wants to drill for example all the corners radius of a pocket). TopSolid'Cam also calculates all the holes parameters as:

• the diameter of the cylinders

• the length of the cylinders

• the starting Z

• ...

Furthermore, TopSolid'Cam merges all the identical  holes.

How to use

1. Call the “Cylinder Analysis” menu or click on icon.

2. Select the holes to machine with the contextual menu or with "space bar".

3. Define the process to use for each cylinder (diameter).

4. Click on "Machine" button to make the tool path.
