Link movements
Topsolid CAM online Help Index
![]()
The purpose is to be able to modify easily the approach of the current operation.
Three solutions are available:
Automatic
In that case, movements are created automatically, as in the TopSolid'Cam 2006 version.
In turning, the purpose is to avoid collisions.
In milling, the intermediate points use the X,Y and Z coordinates of the Wcs and the security block.
Customized
In that case, the user has already updated the link movements and didn't save this as a template. This modification was done in the operations manager With F4 or the contextual menu Edit / Edit link movements.
User link (other names)
In that case, the user has used for the operation a link movements which was already saved before has a template. All the link movements template are saved in TOPCONFIG\InterOp\App (or TOPGROUP)
To be able to customize or create a new link movement, in the operation manager the user can use F4 or the contextual menu Edit / Edit link movements
Consult
: Allows to show movements created by the user. In the automatic mode,
this function is not available.
Update: Allows to update the link
movements of the current operation IF the user has changed something in
the template which is used. Indeed, by default if the user uses a template
called "Mylink", the operation which uses this template has
a copy of this template. If the template "Mylink" is modified,
the operation is NOT modified (too dangerous here to have the associativity,....
The tool path was fine BEFORE the modification of "Mylink").
So if the user wants to have the modification of "Mylink" he
needs to click on this button.
