TopSolid'Cam analyzes all the cylinders and sections of cylinders for this machining mode. The results are then listed in a dialogue box so that the user can allocate a particular machining strategy to each of them.
All the identical hole are grouped together.
Call the “Cylinder Analysis” menu or click on the corresponding icon.
Specify the part to be machined, if there is more than one part.
TopSolid'Cam analyzes the finished part and makes a list of the set of cylinders and sections of cylinders making up the part.
The dialogue box below shows all the operations available for the creation of one or several “hole” type

Validate the holes to machine (With the space bar or the contextual menu "Machine/ Don't machine")
Assign a machining process for each detected cylinder, select process in the machining processes pull down list. The cylinder corresponding to the selected line in the list is displayed in red.
Validate using the “Machine” button to launch machining processes for each preselected cylinder.
Warning:
Executing a machining process, in automatic mode, implies tool search. Tool search produces no result if the needed tool was not stored in TopTool’s database, for example. In such a case, the user can ‘force’ a tool. In other words, the user can call a tool with a diameter different from that of the shape to be created (diameter hole of 8.05 drilled at 8, for example). However, TopSolid'Cam does not consider tool forcing as a normal process. Therefore, the user must re-execute the tool forcing operation for all tools forced during operation creation, if the route sheet is to be re-executed. To avoid this, tick the “Forced” checkbox found in all drilling operations’ dialogue boxes. In such a case, when the route sheet is re-executed, TopSolid'Cam will naturally use the tool forced when the operation was created.
