Side(s) on which open pocket operations are is to be performed

Once the user has specified the side (hatched region in bold, in the above figure), it is automatically extended to the stock model’s limits.  Thus, rest machining is performed on the whole of the machinable area.  A side is considered as an open pocket when all its external frontiers open onto descending AND ascending sides.
