Material Height

Total material depth
Defined by the total material height to remove. TopSolid'Cam measures this height by adding up the distance between the face to machine (including the offset), and the highest point of the rough part.
Axial pass depth
The real axial pass depth is the total material height to remove minus the depth of the last pass. The result is then divided by the maximum cutting depth of the tool to compute the number of required passes. The real pass depth is then recomputed to take into consideration the number of passes.
Last pass axial depth
The user defines the depth of the last pass. The selection is made considering the quality of the surface finish to achieve at the end of the operation.
