Descending mode

External clearance

This value specifies the distance to apply on the external contour on the area to Face mill in order to make sure that the operation will remove all of the material, since a facing is extended all the way to the extents of the rough.

Longitudinal clearance distance

This value sets the distance to add to the external offset, in the main direction of the sweep machining operation, in order to ensure us of a pitch change outside the material. .

Step over

This value defines the distance to apply between two consecutive tool passes. This pitch will ensure the operator that the pocketing removes all the material. Note that this value has a maximum value of the tool’s diameter. In some cases, the system can force the value to the tool’s radius.
