Description:

This loading represents a uniform pressure applied in one direction.

General principle:

  1. Choose a reference direction.

  2. Enter the value of the pressure in a unit that is compatible with Pascal (Pa).

  3. Designate the faces of the single part that are subjected to the loading.

  4. Set the load's annotation text or click on .

Optional point(s):

The direction of the pressure can be specified (INCOMING or OUTGOING).  The direction is outgoing if the pressure is in the direction of the normal to the face.

The appplication face can be specified (only in the STD or PRO version). Application to the EXTERNAL face is the only option that can be applied to volume parts. Surface or general parts can have an EXTERNAL, INTERNAL, or MIDDLE application.

Specific point(s):

Pressure loading is shown as several vectors distributed on the loaded face and the direction of which is normal to the face.

Pressure loading is put in the current load case at the time it is created .
